Hans Kramers is flanked by his wife Anna and his daughter Agnete (20 years old). To the left of Anna is Paul Ehrenfest's widow, Tatiana Ehrenfest-Afanassjewa (with shawl) and his other two daughters, Suus (23) and Martine (15). Son Jan (10) is missing, he was likely too young to attend.

Source: H.A. Kramers family archive, maintained by grandson Koos Kuiper, who informed me of the unusual location: While originally the reception was to be in the Kamerlingh Onnes laboratory, this had been requisitioned by the German occupation. Hans' brother Jan was professor of Arabic, and it is likely that his contacts enabled the move to the Oriental Institute.
